Technical information

The LOOP shower process starts with fresh water. This is collected, cleaned by a coarse particle filter and UV disinfection and pumped into the water circuit. Temperature losses are compensated for by reheating via a heat exchanger. After showering, this water is cleaner than bath water in the bath.

The system is emptied and rinsed with hot water after every shower. The next user starts with fresh water

Each shower requires 5 litres of water, regardless of how long it takes. Assuming 100% occupancy of the cabin, we save around 40,000 litres of water per year with a daily shower for 2 people (60 l/process). This also means that a 1000 litre collection tank does not have to be emptied every 9 days, but every 100 days.
