fluviLOOP for carefree shower enjoyment
The shop where overlanders buy
An average shower lasts between 3 and 10 minutes, sometimes longer in exceptional cases. For this, between 20 and 90 liters of water are needed. Assuming that only 2 minutes are sufficient for cleaning, the remaining time is dedicated to comfort and relaxation.
Relaxation, just like in the bathtub.
Relaxation, just like in the bathtub. Shower as long as you want without feeling guilty, without wasting resources.
How does it work?
1. Process
The LOOP shower process starts with fresh water. This water is collected, cleaned through a coarse particle filter and UV disinfection, and pumped back into the water circuit. Any heat loss is compensated by reheating through a heat exchanger. After showering, this water is cleaner than the bathwater in a tub.
2. Rinse
After each shower, the system is drained and flushed with hot water. The next guest starts with fresh water.
Water savings
LOOP requires about 5 liters of water for each shower. Assuming 100% occupancy of the cabin and two people showering daily (60 liters per shower), we save around 40,000 liters of water per year. This also means that a 1,000-liter storage tank would need to be emptied not every 9 days, but every 100 days.
A LOOP wellness shower always takes place in 'your own' water. From a hygiene perspective, this is comparable to taking a bath in a tub. Nevertheless, we have a 3-stage filtration system and 2 cleaning stages:
Filter
1. Coarse particle filter at the intake, cleaned monthly.
2. Backwash filter, cleaned after each shower.
3. UV filter that cleans the water during flow.
The water is exposed to short-wave UV light. The genetic information of the pathogens contained in the DNA absorbs the energy of the UV-C radiation, and is destroyed in the process. This purely physical process enables efficient water sterilization (up to 99.999%*), without the need for chemical disinfectants.
Cleaning stages
1. After each shower, the system is flushed with 60°C hot water.
2. It is recommended to flush the system monthly with the addition of a bag of citric acid.
